Transition To Clean Energy

The Problem
Fossil fuels like coal and gas are expensive and have serious health impacts for Michigan families. And while burning fossil fuels is bad for everyone's health, it's particularly dangerous for communities that are already marginalized and underserved.
The Solution
Michigan passes a 100% carbon-free electricity standard by 2035. That would require at least 60% of our energy generation to be renewable by 2030, and at least 10% of that renewable energy must be allocated in communities that are marginalized, underserved, and overburdened by pollution.
