Hold Utilities Accountable

The Problem

Right now, utility companies in our state are out of control. Not only are Michigan families dealing with rising rates, but we aren't even getting what we're paying for. Regular outages and shutoffs happen constantly, and utilities aren't being held accountable for their poor service.

The Solution

Require the Michigan Public Service Commission to regulate utilities for equity, health, affordability, and climate impacts. By doing this, we can empower the commission with more oversight and sanction abilities to hold these utility companies accountable, while prioritizing communities that are marginalized, underserved, and overburdened by pollution.
