  • Michigan’s clean energy sector supports more than 103,419 jobs and pumps $5 billion annually into Michigan’s economy. Moving to clean, renewable energy will foster energy independence so Michiganders can buy Michigan energy, and we can stop exporting our money and our jobs to other states and countries.

  • Michigan has the highest electricity rates in the Midwest, which is why we need to embrace the cost-saving potential of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and electric vehicles. Renewable energy is now cheaper than coal and cost-competitive with natural gas due to advances in technology. Michigan ratepayers save more than $3 for every dollar invested in energy efficiency.

  • Clean, renewable energy will help reduce dangerous pollution, reduce asthma and lung disease, and help protect our Great Lakes.
